Uhh, why didn’t we think of this! Silhouettes on blankets? Genius. Especially when they’re set on such a nice shade of green and paired with a too-perfect ivory. This blanket from Mr. Red on Etsy is exactly what we’ve been looking for in an all-around blanket: it’s huge (36×36 inches), its soft (100% cotton), and it’s beautifully designed (Jackie Shapiro patterns). At $28, we wouldn’t even been too worried about it getting dirtied up, like with other blankets we’ve had that have frills or fabrics that don’t do well in the wash. Check it out here!

We’re always looking for new and interesting rattles, so we can avoid plastic-y ones, and these Giraffe Rattles from Bundled fit the bill! They’re simple in shape, the patterns are great, and we just think they’d look cute in our homes. What more could we ask for?

We just got an e-mail from our friends at L’affiche Moderne and we were thrilled when we saw that they sent us news of Stephanie Baxter’s new “A is for…” alphabet print. As soon as we saw that each letter is set in front of charming little creatures that are outlined in white, we just had to share!

We’re completely stuck on how well the Italy-based company Pentamobili uses color. We can’t even imagine going any bolder than yellow, and here they are splashing orange and lime green on everything — and making everything looking ulta-awesome in the process! We need to take notes.

It’s pretty obvious, if you keep up with this blog, that we try to promote things that are eco-friendly or “green.” And while we love living green (from diapers, to cleaners, to buying things with sustainable materials) — we know how expensive it can be to do so. That’s why we were thrilled to come across this article in Cookie Magazine’s online site — “Cheap Green.”

It goes through several ways you can save on going green — from buying one cleaning product for multiple tasks to organizing a clothing swap with other parents.
