Inspiration: Crib with Pull-Out Mattress
Wednesday, September 2, 2009 12:11 2 Comments
Another, “why hasn’t anyone else thought of this before” moment came to us when we saw this genius crib designed by Michelle’s husband. After polling mommies he knew, her husband found that most moms hated changing the crib sheets because the mattress was so hard to access. His solution? Have the mattress pull out!

Roh Crib from Spot on Square
Tuesday, August 18, 2009 13:26 No CommentsOhhh! What a crib — they call it the modernists dream crib, and we can’t disagree. The new Roh Crib from Spot on Square, which will be available this November, is made using BPA and phthalate free clear acrylic that’s 100% recyclable, and locally sourced walnut. You’ll have to shell out a good amount for [...]
Litto Kids Furniture
Friday, August 7, 2009 13:51 No CommentsWe’re definitely falling for some of the great stuff over at Litto Kids, a company that specializes in modern design for children. Their “Manhattan” collection above was created with “European contemporary flavor” in mind — loves!
Extending Stair Gate by Numi
Thursday, August 6, 2009 13:26 No CommentsWe do as much as we can to baby-proof the house, especially the staircase, even if that means using eyesores like those white, plastic contraptions we all know and love hate. Well, if you’re like us and have wondered why no one in the world has come up with a stair gate that isn’t hideous [...]
DUKTIG Mini-kitchen from Ikea
Tuesday, August 4, 2009 15:59 1 CommentIt was under “What’s New” in the Children’s Ikea Tab — a fabulous DUKTIG Mini-kitchen for $99 (the mircowave hutch is sold separately). We read around that it’s been up on the European Ikea site for awhile, so we’re happy to see that we can get it here in the US now!
Get this, the legs [...]
BOOKSPILE by Andrius Pocius
Tuesday, August 4, 2009 13:21 No CommentsWe know that you can only get so creative storing books (bookshelves, of course, and maybe baskets), which is why we were thrilled to see this Andrius Pocius’ BOOKSPILE. It’s made up of a series of interlocking pieces that you can assemble without bolts or screws — in the end, it looks like an stylishly disordered [...]
Mathieu Lehanneur Bean Bag
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 13:07 No CommentsIs this for the kids, or for us? We haven’t decided yet, but we do know we love it. Matheiu Lehanneur’s ‘Bucky’s Nightmare’ leather bean bag chair sustains its geometric shapes through sewn triangles. Quite a jump from bean bags we’re used to!

420 X 595 mm Ink Calendar from Oscar Diaz
Friday, July 17, 2009 12:54 No CommentsHoly genius calendar, Batman!
This new calendar from Oscar Diaz sucks ink from a bottle and colors a strip of numbers — coloring exactly one complete number each day. We’re baffled!
Read more about it here at Gizmodo, they explain how the calendar works much better than we can.
Offi Nest Crib
Thursday, July 16, 2009 0:34 No CommentsWe just realized we never posted about the Offi Nest Crib. How could we forget?
The Nest Crib is one of the most iconic modern crib designs in, well, modern history (or, at least we think so, but it’s not as if there’s a Modern Crib Design book we can reference — though, there’s an idea)! [...]
AMBERintheSKY Birch Loft Bed
Thursday, July 9, 2009 17:26 No CommentsThis AMBERintheSKY Loft Bed comes to us from Perludi, an Austrian furniture design company. It’s definitely made for the modern home, and we can’t help but love how they designed the ladder. We can imagine this piece being draped with sheets and turning into a fort in no time — and we kind of like [...]
